In this lesson of learn free music theory I cover the Roman numerals for each chord in a major, and minor scale. Plus how we number inversions in harmonic analysis.

An augmented? sign is a + not an x.
This is why it's ...
This is why it's weird to be a guitar player and take traditional theory classes. Diminished chord FELL way bigger in the guitar, but they're not. Everything feels so? weird when you're dissecting theory and using a guitar... but that just makes it more fun :)
Isn't harmonic ...
Isn't harmonic minor the same as Aeolian? If so then why isn't the 2 chord diminished? Also, if the 2 chord of Aeolian / harmonic minor is diminished, would it be supertonic dominant or what? I get really confused here, and I could really use some help.
Thanks!!!!?

Another awesome lesson. I hope you will be teaching? harmony once you get done with level 3 and ofc when you feel ready. Btw what other parts of music theory is there to learn after rudiments level 3 except for harmony? I heard you mention history, counter point and analysis, is that all of the stuff or are there other big topics too? Is there any specific order that's good when learning those things, like maybe harmony first then counter point or something like that?

Another great lesson. Thank you.
Last week I was working on a piece of music and I? came across this notation stuff. This is a great review. However, I was puzzled when I tried to write a chord that leaves certain notes out. It was a G major without the D. What should be the notation in this case? What about inversions for suspended chords?
